Bitmanagement announces the new release of the BS Contact Stereo 7.2 at the Siggraph 2009 in New Orleans

Berg, 31.07.2009 - At this year’s Siggraph in New Orleans, USA, (from 4-6 August 2009) Bitmanagement Software GmbH (www.bitmanagement.com) presents the new BS Contact Stereo Release 7.2 at the computer graphics exhibition (booth number 2029) for high-quality stereo and standalone applications on the Web. Bitmanagement supports the current trend in the games market for 3D stereo applications, categorized as massive multiplayer online community games (MMOG) which give the market a significant push.

With their BS Contact Stereo in the new version 7.2 Direct X as well as Open GL (GLSL) dynamic shaders can be used. Please download BS Contact Stereo online from http://www.bitmanagement.com/... and see the release notes at http://www.bitmanagement.de/... .

The most important new features include large scenes being viewed in real-time shadows, with a so-called "cascading shadow map (CSM) technique. This technique is already included in the latest games on DVD and CD ROM applications. The BS Contact Stereo can also enable realistic visual effects in stereoscopy and high quality interactive scenes displayed on the internet.

To the industry which still mainly depends on CAD images, Bitmanagement offers with BS Contact Stereo 7.2 - stereoscopic software that allows many types of real materials such as chrome, molding, plastic, wood, stone etc. to be visualized photo-realistically.

The new version of BS Contact Stereo supports the updates to the authoring tools Blender and 3ds max. VRML, X3D and Collada compliant files can enable a better visualization on stereoscopic hardware (rear projection, 3D displays and CAVE systems) with the updates. Blender supports real-time shadows, static radiocity, dynamic particle effects, Multi-texturing, normal and environment mapping, movie textures, animation and the known interactive scripting from Blender.

For Massively Multiplayer Online Games, BS Contact Stereo can be combined with its own multi-user technology (client server) BS Collaborate, making certain types of computer games that give players a virtual persistent world where users can participate and play over the Internet.

BS Contact Stereo fits many standard stereo devices such as cave systems, power walls, 3D glasses and 3D monitors such as the new monitors from the U.S. manufacturer iZ3D, San Diego, CA. Through this broad hardware support the users of Bitmanagement software can be independent regardless of various hardware manufacturers and devices. The globally accepted solution in the industry for the 3D ISO format VRML/X3D and Collada formats as well as OpenJT upon request, may therefore be used in a variety of stereo hardware.
